I love you
I went shopping today. This evening I was showing Joel and the kids the things I had bought. Emily exclaimed " For my Birthday!!" when she saw her clothes. I told her "No,these aren't for you birthday, they are just because I love you." She immediately turns to me, gives me a hug and says, "Thank you for my "I love you"!!" My heart melted. I think this is one of the most precious and profound things I have heard in a while. How often do I thank people for their "I love you"s? Or do I just take them for granted?
